Terry Pitts

Terry Pitts

Terry A. Pitts has been in the healthcare technology marketplace for over 40 years where he has led, participated, or managed over 30 buy and sell transactions in that marketplace. He currently is a senior member of the RL Johnson Merger and Acquisition team. Previously he served as a Managing Director of Cornerstone, a healthcare merger and acquisition organization. Terry was a Senior Director of the National Blue Cross and Blue Shield organization in Chicago for several years, served as a CIO with a major healthcare Provider organization (Banner Health), and was one of an eight person leadership team that directed a billion dollar HIT vendor (SMS now Siemens) for several years. Terry was direct admitted into Coopers & Lybrandt as a Senior Managing Partner of the HIT practice for the United States, and has served as a CEO of his own healthcare information technology companies: PCI Systems, Integrated Medical Networks, Park City Solutions, and Digital Bridge. Over the tenure of his career he and his companies have received several entrepreneurial awards.

In his 40 years in the healthcare industry he worked on the payor side, the provider side and the vendor side of the marketplace. Terry has served on many Boards as a Director and has been a strategic consultant to many companies that he has either bought or sold. He has been a thought leader, a creator of new technology, and is very well known and respected in the industry. He graduated from New York State University with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. Terry and his wife of 42 years have 4 children, and is the proud grandfather of 15. He has served two missions for his church in Washington DC and in New Zealand. He resides in the mountains of Utah and enjoys all kinds of outdoor sporting activities.

R. Scott Holbrook

R. Scott Holbrook

R. Scott Holbrook, a 40 year healthcare technology veteran in both vendor and healthcare provider organizations and most recently served as the Executive Vice President of Medicity, a provider of healthcare technology products to RHIOs, IDNS, large laboratories, payors, hospitals and clinics. Scott is one of the founders and owners of KLAS, has served in executive positions at IHC, GTE, Sunquest Information Systems, Integrated Medical Networks, and a founder of Park City Solutions. From 1977-88, Scott served as a Vice President of IT Services for Intermountain Health Care for their 26-hospitals. During this tenure at IHC, Scott and his staff development the Medseries4 product that is currently owned by Siemens and has 450 hospitals who continue to use the product.

Known as an industry innovator, client advocate and champion, Scott is very active in the healthcare industry associations. He is a HIMSS Fellow presently serving as Vice Chair of HIMSS. Scott holds a Masters of Science, from Utah State University, a Bachelors of Science from Brigham Young University and is a Six Sigma Black Belt. He is married to Joy Holbrook, a father of 9 and grandfather of 17.

David E. Garets

David E. Garets, FHIMSS. Mr. Garets is a semi-retired healthcare IT industry analyst, Principal at Change Gang, LLC and a Principal at Mountain Summit Advisors. He’s also an advisor and chair of the Executive Advisory Boards for SCI Solutions and SoftServe, Inc., as well as a Senior Advisor for Next Wave Health.

Previously, he served as General Manager and Executive Director of the Healthcare IT Suite at The Advisory Board Company, as president and President & CEO of HIMSS Analytics, Executive Vice President of HIMSS, EVP at Healthlink, Group VP at Gartner and as an experienced healthcare CIO.

Mr. Garets served as HIMSS board chair in 2004 and as President of two state HIMSS chapters, ID and WA. He sits on the governing boards of Health Care DataWorks and the PeaceHealth Northwest Network.

He was a Charter Member of CHIME and served on the faculties of the CHIME Information Management Executive courses for 11 years. He is an internationally known author and speaker on healthcare information strategies, technologies, and change management, and in 2011 was elected to the HIMSS 50-in-50, the 50 most memorable and influential contributors to healthcare IT in the last 50 years. Mr. Garets is the co-creator of the HIMSS Analytics EMR Adoption Model, the international de facto standard for measuring the progress towards a full electronic medical record. He earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas Tech University.

Mr. Bradley Overby has had a successful career in the Healthcare market that spans over 26 years, most recently with Medicity, Inc. where he held various positions since its inception in 1999. Mr. Overby was responsible for many of the early sales successes at Medicity and understands the complexities of the healthcare industry. Previously, Mr. Overby was senior vice president of Professional Healthcare Systems, Inc., where he managed sales, marketing and client services for the hospital information systems industry nationwide, serving such institutions as John's Hopkins University Hospital, Stanford University Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital and Tenet Healthcare. Mr. Overby attended Brigham Young University and the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Business Management.
Michael W. Davis

Michael W. Davis

  Mike has over 30 years of healthcare experience in both provider organizations and with healthcare solutions companies. Mike assisted in starting a successful research and advisory service for the Advisory Board Company, serving as a Managing Director. Mike also helped to launch HIMSS Analytics as the Executive Vice President overseeing products and services. Mike held the position of Managing Vice President of Gartner’s Healthcare Research & Advisory Service when he led that division. He has managed clinical departments in healthcare organizations and has held product management and director positions with Micromedex/Thomson, American Express Health Systems Group, First Data Corporation, and Motorola. Mike is the co-author of the HIMSS AnalyticsTM EMR Adoption Model, which tracks the adoption rate of EMR applications in the U.S. and Canada. Mike has published two books and over 300 research articles on computerizing healthcare information. Mike has extensive experience with the design, development, implementation and management of healthcare IT solutions for established and start-up companies. Mike is known as an experienced, accomplished, and respected healthcare professional. He has been a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association for over 20 years. Mike has a Master of Science degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and a Master of Business Administration degree from Pfeiffer University. Mike has been married to his wife, Marilyn, for 40 years and currently has one grandson, with the hopes for more grandchildren.
Steve G. Sullivan, Sr.

Steve G. Sullivan, Sr.

Steve has been a serial entrepreneur in the healthcare technology space for over 40 years, the highlights of which were the development of 2 major healthcare service technology companies.  During this time he built four different practice management systems, most still in use today. He is widely recognized as an industry leader and is known by the executives of most healthcare technology and RCM companies. In addition, he has personal connections with many hospital and physician leaders throughout the US,  particularly in the northeast. Steve has consistently applied insights about how technology can improve healthcare to create innovative solutions. He has been viewed as a visionary by many in the industry.

Steve was involved with the development of technology in the Cyber Security space for server-based applications and technologies for sensitive (encrypted) data “cloud” storage, access and highly secure transmission over open networks for the Intelligence community, the US Military, Government agencies, Law enforcement and private sector global organizations for server hardening, patch management, server-based, end-to-end communication and data storage solutions. For the past seven years, he has served as an Advisor to a number of technology companies, that develop mobile command and control systems, along with Cyber warfare software development. Leveraging his experience and business background to help these companies move from defense contracting to the commercial space, define new markets, or expand their businesses, depending on their needs.

Currently Steve is focused on the development and implementation of new multi-stage opportunities for a number of companies with cyber enablement, monitoring and management, and security technologies, products and services, national security-strategy which target the protection of critical infrastructure by achieving digital/cyber resilience and security particularly in global IT and Cyber Security.

Deanna Wright

Deanna Wright

  Deanna Wright has been in the financial industry for 26 years. She specialized in the food industry for the first 22 years at various large national corporations. In the food industry, she specialized in operations and management, specifically in the restaurant business. She worked with sales, marketing, cost analysis, customer service, and business management. She was part of the development team for one of the largest national chains that created the Best Practices for their training division. She was also one of the developers for the 620 restaurants financial P & L statements and reconciliations. Working with the largest restaurant company in the nation, she specialized in human resources and operations. She has been working in the Healthcare Industry for the past 5 years with Mountain Summit Advisors, specializing in financial analysis. Deanna attended Brigham Young University with an emphasis on Business Management.

The food industry is one of the most vibrant and active markets in the United States. The food industry accounts for 5.32 Trillion dollars in the United States in 2015. This market continues to grow at a staggering pace in food manufacturing, grocery stores, and restaurants. Annual sales in all of these markets continue to rise. New food processes and the trend towards premium products have driven new opportunities in the food manufacturing markets. Organic and natural groceries are driving the increased grocery developments. The restaurant industry is busier than ever, with new segments overtaking the traditional sit-down options with fast casual and home delivery of higher end restaurant products.
